Technology Vision Statement

It is the vision of North Bridge Elementary that students be engaged in an academic environment that is challenging and provides them with the 21st century skills necessary to become productive and caring adults. With this context, we believe that technology is a tool for learning that expands our instruction and is the means to maximize the capacity of our teachers to teach and our students to learn.

Through the use of technology North Bridge students will:

• Recognize that learning is a life-long process.
• Be open to new ideas and able to grow and change with new experiences.
• Collect, assess, and share information.
• Become effective oral, digital, written communicators.
• Gain skills and proficiencies necessary for the work force of the future.
• Develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.

The staff of North Bridge Elementary will use technology:

• To meet the curriculum needs of our students
• To promote critical thinking skills
• To provide a way for expression and communication between our students, staff and the global community.
• To collect, assess, and share information
• To improve the effectiveness of the administrative tasks performed by staff.
• To provide skills and proficiencies necessary for the work force.
